Transfagarasan

Munti.

I’ve always been mesmerized by their grandeur. Once in a while I get the change to get near them, climb them. I don’t think I could ever have enough of their sight. If in ‘The Gladiator’ Russel Crow would dream of going home and his hands touching the golden wheat I dream of a house near the mountains and my hands opening the door and seeing an entire mountain chain.

The photoghraphs bellow are taken in Romania on the road from Cârțișoara  to Curtea de Arges (Transfagarasan). We stopped near a cascade and took the route until up near it and then on the next day we visited Balea Lake. The surroundings reminded me of Ireland in a way. The difference would be the noisy talk of Romanians because they tend to get really loud and the smell of meat getting roasted which is annoying on the top of the mountain.

I hope you enjoy the photographs. I did my best in capturing the pure beauty of nature.

    1. I have never been to Scotland that’s they did remind me of Ireland 😀

Yes, it’s a custom here in Romania to roast meat on grill and people are used to go out in the nature on weekends especially to do this 🙂

      Have a lovely weekend!

  1. Doamne ce minune de loc!!!! Ador pozele, ai reusit sa scoti in evidenta minuata tara ce o avem. 😉

  2. Very beautiful pictures, Klaudia!

    Thank you for sharing them.
I can see why the area reminds you of Ireland. After your description I can also sense the smell of roasted meat… 😉

It’s quite a gift seeing the deep beauty of nature and capturing it on photos while surrounded by so much evidence of civilisation.

    Much love,
    Steffi
